governed by. its Jmeinoi'andum and Articles o)f Association dated 19111 February 2016. ThL Charity was registered
with the Charity Commission on 3rd Marcli 2017.
The charity is governed by a Board of Trustees in accordance H'ith ihe governing docuTn¢nt. Trustees meetings
are h¢ld several times a year and the Trustees are in regii lar Loinrtiunicatioii.
In the planning of activities during the y¢ar the Trustees gave due consideration to the Charity Commission's
published guidance on public benefit.
Review and Financial Review of the Year
During the year, the charity received donations of £48.000 (2024 - £48,000) and continued to consider
applications. Grants of £24:165 were awarded during the year supporting St Rapliael's Hospice and Ban5tead
Edibles. At the year-end £94,910 (2024 £71,084) was held in unreqtricted funds to b¢ used in future periods.
Risk ReTriew
The Trubtees carry out periodic reviews of the Inajor risks to which the charl￿. is exposed. Systems and
procedures have been ¢stablished to mitigate those identified so as to minimise any poteiitial impact on the
charilv.
Affiliation
The charity is not affiliatcd to any other charity.

Reserves policy
The trustees have established a policy of holding reserves sufficient to enable the charity to continue in the event
of unforeseen expenditure.

Statement of Trustees, responsibilities
The Trustees (who are also the directors of the charity for the purpose of company law) ar¢ responsible for
preparing the Trustees. Annual Report and the accounts in accordance with appliLable law and United Kingdom
Accounting Standards (United KingdoFn Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
Company law requires the Trustees to prepare accounts for each financial year which giv¢ a 'tnie and fair" view
of the state of affairs of the charitable company and of its incoming resources and application of resources,
including its income and expenditure, for that period. In preparing these accounts, the Trustees are required to:
select suitable accounting p)licies and then apply them consistently"

tnake judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.
state whether applicable UK Accounting Standards have been follow¢d, subject to any tnaterial departures
disclosed and explained in the accounts, and

continue in business.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting rccords that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any
time the financial position of th¢ charity and enabl¢ them to ensure that the accounts comply with the
Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charitable company and hence
for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and oth¢r i￿egUlar1ties.
The above report has been prepared in accordance with the special provisions relating to small companies within
Part 15 of the Companies Act 2(M)6.

I report to the charity Trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Hussey Foundation for the year ended

Responsibilities and basis of Teport
As the charity s Trustees (and a]so directors of the company for the purposes of company law), you are responsible
for the preparation of the accounts in accordaiice with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006
('%he 2006 Act").
Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not reqLiired to be audited linder Part 16 of the ?006

followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act.

I confinn that no matt¢TS have come to my attention in connection with the eLqmination giving me reasonable
cause to klieve that in any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by section 386 of
the 2006 Act- or
the accounts do not accord with those records. or
the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of section 396 of th¢ 2006 Act other than any
requirement that the accounts give a 'trne and fair" view which is not a matter considered as part of an
independent examination. or
the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with th¢ methods and principles of th¢ Statement of
Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities applicable to charities preparing their
accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis ofaccounting
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of
Recominended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accouiits in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard

Companies Act 2006.
The Hussey Foundation meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102.
The accounts have been pr¢pared under the historical cost convention.
Currency and rounding
The accounts are presented in st¢Tling and rounded to the nearest £1.
Income recognition
All income is recognised once the charity has entitlement to the income, it is probable that the income will
be received and the amount of income r¢c¢ivabl¢ can b¢ measured reliably.
Resources expended
Expenditure is recognised on an accrual basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure includes any VA T
which cannot be fully recovered, and is reported as part of the expenditure to which it relates.
Charitable expenditure comprises those costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its activities and
services for its beneficiaries. It includes both costs that can be allocated directly to such activities and
those costs of an indirect nature necessary to support them.
Going concern
The trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about The Hussey Foundation's ability to
continue as a going concern.
Unrestricted funds
Unr¢stricted fuiids are donations and other incoming resources receivable or generated for the objects of
the charitv without further specified purpose and are avai lable as general funds.
DONATIONS
All donations received in the year and in previous periods relate to unrestricted funds.

The independent examiner's remuneration is paid by a related party, Direct Chauffeur Line Limited.
STAFF AND TRUSTEES
The charity had no employees during the year (2024 - none).
The charity trustees were not paid and did not receive any benefits from the charity during the year
(2024
nil). No expenses were reimbursed to trustees and no charity trustee received payment for
professional or other services supplied to the charity (2024 - nil).
RELATED PARTY TRANSACTIONS
I Ir A A Hussey, Mrs J Hussey, Mr M T Hussey and Miss S N Hussey are also the directors of Direct
Chauffeur Line Limited and Noble Claims Services Limited.
During the year ended 28 February 2025, these companies made donations under gift aid totalling
£48,000.
COMPANY STATUS
The charity is a company limited by guarantee. The members of the company are the Trustees named on
page l. In the event of the charity being wound up, the liability in respect of the guarantee is limited to £ I
per member of the charity.
