Principal activity. objectives aDd governance
Th¢ Huss¢y Foundation {th¢ charity) was established with the object of advancing charitable puryoses through
making grdnts to appropriate institutions and individuals. The charity is a company limited by guardntee
governed by its Mernoranduni and Articles of Asswiation daled 19 February 2016. The charity was registered
with the CILarity Commission on 3 March 2017.

aTe held severdl times a yegT and the Twstees are in regular communication.
In the planning of activities during the year the TnLSt¢es gave due ￿nsId￿tIOn to lh¢ Charity Commission's
published guidance on public ben¢fit.
ReiTrew and FinAneial Review of the Yetdr
During the year. the charity received donations of £48,0(K) (2023 - £14,000) al￿ continued to consider
applications. No grants were awarded during the year but in previous years the charity has supported Sutton
United Football Club. for Dis2bility Football. Sr Raphael's Hospice and Sutton Night Watch. At the year-end
£71.084 (2023 - £23.090) was held in UDr¢stri¢ted fullds to k used in luture p¢riods.

ACCOUNfiNG POLICIES
Basis of aeeounting
The aecounts have been prepared in accordance wilh Accounting and ReN)rting by Charities: Statement
of RecorLllnended Practicc applicable to ckLan"tics preparing their accounts in accordancc with thc
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS102)
(effective I" January 2019), with FRS102 and with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 and the
Companies Act 2006.
The H￿SeY Foundation meets the defmition of a public benefit entity under FRSIO2.
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
Currency and rounding
The accounts are presented in sterling and rounded to the nea￿st £1.
Income recognition
All income is recognised once the charity has entitlement to the incom< it is probable that the income
will be received and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably.
Re50uree% expended
Expenditure ts recognised on an accnjal basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure includes ally VAT
which cannot be fully recovered, and is reported as part of the expenditure to which it relates.
Charitable exp¢nditur¢ ¢ompris¢s those costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its activities
and services for its beneficiaries. It tttcludes both costs that can be all(Kated directly to such activities
and tbose costs of an indirect nature n￿eSSary to Sup[￿ them.

The tr￿SleeS consider that there are no material uncertainties about The Hussey Foundaiion's ability to
continue as a going concern.
