Our Cameiata charnber mu51C groups aBaln supported by the Albert and Euoenle Frost trust, ¢ontlnue to thrlve as does the Symphonlc Wlnd ensemble. On 9th March 2025 we held an or¢he5tral day for around 60 youn8 muslclans. Our Ilth Summertlme music course took place Injuly 2Q25 foraround 100 students of all standards. In November we held a'Try an Instrurnenl"5e55ion to en¢ourage more young people to enter the world of musk. A huge èv2nt for us thls year was the Orchestra and cholr tralnlng day at the Ll6hthouse Theatre Poole on Nov 30th, where young vrchestrBI players performed alon8slde professlonal muslclaTh$ and youn8 sln8ers performed, amon8St other repert¢lre, Vivaldl's "Glorla" Thls day wès è trlurnph In or8anlzatlon and was a celebratlon of Youth rnu51c and Included 186 muslclans and slngers. We held several Concerts In our Broadstone musSc serles thls year, the flrst one was In March In whlch The Aurea Ensemble performed. Thls professlonal ensemble Includes some of our own alumnl. After this concert we held a reception to celebrate our Muslc Dlrector, Allson Kay, who was awarded the Brltlsh Emplre Medal In the New Year5 honouts Ilst for her servlces to the Arts and Young People. The Flesole Plano Trio performed for us In Apr51 and prlor to the concert they ¢oa¢hed some of cur young muslclan5. In May, Hu80 Svedber8 one of our longstandln8 local PSYM muslclans and BBC YounB mu51clan of the ye)r 5trln8 seml-fina115t perfomied fgr u5, followed in June by Lewls Lee one of our outstsndlnB alumn¢ violinlsts from the Gulldhall 5¢hool of Music and Drama. In July we held our annual popular tea and cake concert In whlth the tèlented youn8 muslclans of PSYM performed. In September, Icon Strln8s perforrned for us a8aln featllTln8 one of our Alurnnl. Thls Wa5 our first Concert In "the pgwer of the string quartet" cycle In November, the Sonas quartet performid the second of our ¢on¢ert5 In" the powèr of the 5trln8 quartet cycle. The quartet also led an educational workshop wlth mernbers of PSYM who also performed at the concert In the evenin8. alway5, our last concert of the year was our evèr-popularchrlstmas con¢ert. Our MusiG Dlrector was 8iven fees from our fund5 lor organizlng events In 2025 totallln6 £4SO.This doe5 not In¢lude events organlzed as part of the FrostTnJst project.
