having achievedtheiroutcomes, which meantthatwewereableto
accept 9new referrals.Thenumberofmemberson oursociallist
increasedto2L. Thecharity nowhas21volunteers,anetincreaseof
8duringtheyear,and L7of our activememberswere matchedwitha
volunteer.

successfuloutcomeforamemberisgivenbelow:
Oneof our members,whoisvisuallyimpaired,hadaskedforavolunteer
tohelpher gooutandenjoylocalattractionsand nice dogwalks.Our
memberhas aguide dogbutislimitedtothewalkstheguide dog
knows.Ourmemberlovestogo onwoodlandwalks andvisit thetheatre
andotherlocalattractions.OurEnrychvolunteerhasbeen anincredible
supportfor ourmemberandtheyhaveenjoyedmany visitstogether.A
wonderfulfriendshiphasformedandthememberhasbeen abletoenjoy
many outingstogether withthe volunteer,eventravellinguptoLondon.
Arelatively newmatchwhichisoff toaflyingstart.Wehaveamember
whohasaneurological condition whichhasmeanthehaslosttheuseof
hisarms andlegsHepreviouslyhasplayed in aBigBand, and wasan
avidguitaristandrecordedmusic.Wehavematched himwitha
volunteer who visitshimto talk'all thingsmusic'.They arelooking at
voicecontrolledmusicrecording optionsthattheycanenjoy
together.Thisisthestarting ofagoodfriendshipandisbrlngingso much
to ourmemberandvolunteer.The chancefor ourmembertoenjoyand
sharewhatwasmore thanjustahobby,in a new way.
