The objects of MAM UK, for the public benefit of people in Myanmar (and any other regions the trustees may see fit from time to time), are: (1) the relief of sickness and the preservation of health; and (2) the relief of need, hardship and distress.

During the period under review, having regard to guidance issued by the Summary of the main Charity Commission on Public Benefit, the Trustees made donations to activities undertaken for the Medical Action Myanmar (MAM), which is registered as a charitable public benefit in relation to organisation with the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam under number these objects (include within 34345953. this section the statutory declaration that trustees MAM is a medical aid organisation established in 2009, whose mission is to have had regard to the improve access to health care for the poorest people living in Myanmar. guidance issued by the MAM supports a network of Community Health Workers to provide health Charity Commission on care in some of the most remote villages in Myanmar, and operates static public benefit) clinics both in rural areas and in the poorest parts of the capital, Yangon.
Section D Achievements and performance
The money raised by MAM UK in the year has gone towards supporting three MAM initiatives.
Covid Clinics were set up and maintained by MAM treating hundreds of patients both in Yangon and in more remote areas of the Country. Summary of the main achievements of the charity We continued to support three MAM clinics in Kachin State with their during the year HIV work.
Since the coup MAM has run an extensive aid programme for internally displaced people providing cash for food, medical aid and where necessary hygiene products, tarpaulins and corrugated iron sheets to help with the construction of basic shelters.
