The hospital is open all year round and admits around
2000 patients each year. It operates with 2 members

make strong progress in both its operational
capacity and its impact on wildlife rehabilitation.
We were pleased to complete the construction of
two new outdoor rehabilitation pens. These
facilities significantly enhance our ability to care
for a wider range of bird species, providing
appropriate space and environments to support
their recovery and release.
Our fundraising efforts have also been
successful. A charity music event raised an
impressive £1,844.68, and we were incredibly
grateful to receive a generous legacy donation of
£5,380.21 from the estate of a valued supporter.
These contributions have played an important
role in supporting the ongoing work of the charity.
We are also very grateful for the ongoing support
from Newport Bag Company, where Gail
handcrafts high-quality bags that we are able to
sell to raise funds. In addition, Nicki of Soaps by
Rosie continues to support us by creating
beautiful handmade natural soaps for
fundraising. Their generosity, skill, and continued
commitment are hugely appreciated and provide
valuable support to the charity.
We extend our thanks to Pets at Home for their
contnued support through the donaton of
damaged food items, including corn and wild
bird feed. These contributons help to reduce
feeding costs and enable us to allocate more
resources towards the care and rehabilitaton of
wildlife.
Our partnership with Hoglets Wildlife Education
continues to be both a reliable source of income
and a key part of delivering our charitable
objectives. This collaboration remains integral to
our outreach and education work.
Admissions remained high throughout the year at
1858, with particularly notable numbers during
the summer months. We experienced a record
intake of young gulls, largely due to the effects of
extreme heat, which placed additional demand| on our resources and team. Finally, we would like to recognise and thank our volunteers. We have welcomed many new volunteers this year, whose dedication and hard work are vital to the day-to-day running of the hospital. We are extremely grateful for their continued support. The staff, volunteers and board of trustees at The BWRC would like to thank all of our supporters from the bottom of hearts for all of their kind donations and hard work that allows The British Wildlife Rescue Centre to continue our operations into the future and continue to provide life-saving care to local wildlife in need.
