Another focus is to ensure all coaches volunteering at the club are aware of the policies and have appropriate levels of safeguarding training to comply with regulatory requirements. **Devizes to Westminster race 2025 Develop training plans and assist with preparation for paddlers to complete DW.** This year’s course was safer than last year and it was quality rather than quantity - one team won the junior K2 4-day event. Very well done to the boys & their support crew. **Sprint - Increase participation in sprint racing both at local and national level. This includes implementing training to help develop junior sprint paddlers within the club.** National Sprint Championship medalists - K1 1000m O44 3[rd] K1 500m O44 2[nd] K2 500m O44 3rd K1 1000m U23 2nd K2 500m U23 1st K2 1000m U23 3rd K4 500m Sen 1st K2 1000m Sen 2nd K2 500m Sen 3rd MacGregor Paddle Challenge Regatta, this is an interclub competition, and the club finished 18th **Marathon -** National Marathon Championships, Reading medallists: U12 K2 1st **2024/25 Talent and Sprint Report** Since the last AGM, we have been working to provide a quality athlete development and training program for our groups of athletes, Our paddlers and Coaches are training up to 17 sessions a week. Overall our team size at regattas reduced slightly and this is evidenced in our 18th position in the annual Macgregor Club points competition. Our results for 2024 season included: We commend the club to celebrate our 2024 National Championship Results. The 2025 season started with the April regatta, and we had a small team of 5 paddlers representing us plus 2 event volunteers, 2 club volunteers and another 3 supporters. This event was a selection opportunity to the U23 crew boat pool and Congratulations to Xav and Andre for making this group. This will lead to selection opportunities at the May regatta.

There is also a renewed push towards local regattas to enable paddlers to gain experience at a regatta before qualifying to paddle at Nottingham. The club has also been offered the chance to host a Paddle UK employed coach to assist in more junior athletes competing in Flatwater competitions. This is a great recognition of the effort that the club has put in and will help the club grow into the future.
