## **Leeswood Community Centre CIO – Charity No 1171794** ## **Annual report and financial statement 2024** The charity runs the Leeswood Community Centre for the benefit of the local community. The four trustees – Graham Sherwood, Marie Reynolds, Mike Brand and Ray Hughes were in post throughout the year. The trustees kept hire rates unchanged to support the centre’s users. Income from room hire was higher than in 2023 but the income from the trading company decreased as there were significantly fewer events that used the bar. Utilities costs decreased significantly – helped by a new gas contract and our solar electric system. Work is ongoing on the fabric of the building. The first phase of window replacement was completed, and additional funds were used to purchase materials for the next phase of improvements to the building. We were fortunate to receive support during the year from the Coop Community Fund for kitchen appliances. Leeswood and Pontblyddyn Community Council continue to give an annual support grant to the centre.
