Association for the 1 April 2023 lo 31 March 2024. The Trustee5 confirm that the Annual report and financHI
siatements of the charity comply with the cUr￿nt stslulory requirements, the requirements of the CIO'S
governing document and the provisions ol the Statement of Recommended PraCt￿e ISORPI applicable to
Charities preparing their accounts in aCCordar￿e wlh the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Irelar¥J {FRS102} leffect￿e 1 January 2019).
Since the charbty qualrfies as small uThJer section 382 of the Companies Act 2006. the Strategi¢ report required
of medium and large companies under the CLKnpan￿S Act 2006 (strateg￿ Report and Directors. Report)
Regulations 2013 has been omitteif.

of sex or political, religious. or other opinions. by associating the local authorities. voluntary organisalions, and
inhabitants in a ¢ommon effort io advance education and to provide faulrties in the Interests of social welfare for
reation and leistjre lime occupation with object of improving the conditions of lrfe for the said inhabitants.
To establish a Comrnunity Centre (Tre Centre") and lo maintain or manage. or to Co-operate wth the local
ststulory Authority in the maintenance and management of such a Centre for ¥tivities promoted by the
Ass4xiation and its constituent bodies in the lurtherance of the above objecis.
The Association is non-party politics aThl non-sectarian in rdigion. The Assooation has the power to affiliate to
the National Federation of Community Associations and lo other organisatM)ns wth similar charitable objects.

We are a local charity that support5 the communty of Ingleton and its surrounding hamlets.
Our aims".
- To provide and maintain the sports f￿ditieS for use in the l¢xal (x)mmunity.
To provide. develop and maintain the outdoor swmming pocA for use by the public in the surnmer
months.
-To provide the community. inf0m1at￿n and welfare actNi1￿5 at the Ingleborough Community Centre.
-To work in partnership ￿th others wilh similar goals.
-To manage the Community Centre to enable l¢Jcal volunleers lo ¢ontinue to provide invaluable Support
our most vulnerable residents.

Improvements lo t1￿ sports facilities, swmmir¥3 p￿1 and community centre are constanuy under
review.
The swimming pool has intr(Kluced cold waler swimmiThJ as well as its usual summer months provision
which continue to be well used.
The Trustees have over recent years appreciated the administration burden on small organisalions
within the IOCAI community whtch has added pressure on al￿adY over-slrel¢hed volunteers. To assist
with this the Association offered banking facslitEs. where requ&8ted. lo affiliated members. Details of
these are shown in Ihe accounls under Re5trtGted Funds.
The Association are ￿ftt ￿nerS of the Communty cent￿ with Inglelon Parish Council who work
together
d. Main activities undertaken to further thè
1. The sports field was endowed lo the Association by the now defunct Mountain R8ce Cornmittee. The
land is now used by Ihe BovAFng Club. the F¢x>tball Club and the Cricket Club There are also facilities
in the form of a fflulti4Jse all weather games area for sports activities. The management and day lo
day running of this section is overseen by the Swrts Management Commsttee, acting on behalf of The
Commiitee.
2. The outdoor swimming pool is leased at a nominal ￿fil from Inglelon Parish Council. This is open lo
the public, both l¢xal inhabitants and lourists, from Spring Bank Hgliday to Augusl Bank Holiday each
year. The management and the day to day running of Ihis section is overseen by the Swimming Pool
Management Cornmitlee, actlng on behalf of The Committee.
3. The Community Centre activities are overseen by the Ingleton Rural cOm￿UnitY
Associationlmanagemenl Committee. acting on behalf of The Committee. The10¢31 Community Centre
provides venues lor drama, meelings. indoor sports, dances, discos. exhibitions, conferences. the local
libr8ry service, Tourist Information Centre and part time Post Office. It also Provides a facility which
has been ar￿ continues to be used as a vaccination ￿ntre involving the local pharmacy and
volunteets.

The provision and maintenance of sports facilities for the use of the local community.
The provision. development and rna1ntenan￿ of Ihe outdoor swÈm¥ning pool for use during the summer
Months by the general public.
The provision of community, infomiatTon and weffare activities at the Ingleborough Community Centre.
Working in partnership wlh others with similar goals.
Community Centre Managernent ar￿ local volunteers conb.nue Io I￿VIde invaluable SUPPDrt to our most
vulnerable residents.

Financial review
. Going concern
After making appropriate enquiries. the Tmstees have a reasonable expectation thai the charity has adequate
resources lo continue in operational existence for the [C￿eseeable future. For this reason, they Continue lo
adopt the going concem basis in p￿parIng the financid slalement5. Further detsils ￿gardIng the adoption of
the going concern basis can be found in the accounting ￿l￿e$.
b. R¢$¢rves policy
The Trustees have established a policy Whe￿bY the Un￿strICted funds exduding fixed assets should be held al
8 level of approximalely £20.000 to £25,000. IÉ is considered Ihat reserves of this level are necessary to ensure
stability and to enable the continued development of equipment and fa¢ilib"es ne¢essary to fulfil the objects of
the charity to the high stanijards required. At the year end the ijnrestricled funds exduding fixed assets were
above the target level.

Accounting policies
2.1 Basis of preparation of financial statements
The financial stslements have iwn prepared in accordan￿ %wth the Charilies SORP IFRS 1021 ~
Accounting and Reporting by Charittes.- Statement ol Re¢ommen¢Jed Practice applicable to charilie5
preparing their accounts in accordance wth Financial Repwting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 {effeGtive 1 January 20191. the Financial RerK>rting Standard
applicable in the UK arKI Republ￿ of Ireland IFRS 1021 afKI the Charrt*s Aci 2011.
The financial statements have been prepared to gTve a "true and fair- view and have departed from
the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only to the extend required to provide a true
and faif view. This departure has involved following the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 published in
October 2019 rather than the Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Sktement of Recommended
Practice effective from 1 April 2005 whid) has since been withdrawn.
Ingleton Rufal Community Asswiation the definition of a publtc benefit entity under FRS
102. Assets and liabililies are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless
otherwise slated in the ￿le¥aft1 accounting pdKy.
2.2 Going eoncem
The financial statements have b￿n p￿pared on a going concern basis. The Trustees believe they
have sufficEnt resources to meet liabilities as they fall due_
2.3 Income
Al income is recognised once the chariiy has entiuement lo the income. it is probable that the
income will be received and the amount of income receivable Can be measured reliably.
Grants are included in the Statement of financial activilies on a receivab￿ basis. The balance of
income re￿iVed for spe¢ffic purposes but not expended during the perbod is shown in the relevant
funds on the Balance sheet. Where income 15 received in advance of entitlement of re￿[pt, it5
recognition is deferred and induded in creditors as deferred income. Where entillemenl occurs
t>efore income is ￿ceNe￿, the income is accrued.

2.4 Expenditure
Expenditure is recogfiised once there is a legal or oonstructNe obligation to transfer economic
benefit lo a third party, it is probable thal a transfer of economic benefits will be required in
settlement and the amount of the obligation can be rneasu￿ ￿liat￿y. ExpenditUTe is classified by
activity. The costs of each activity are made up of the toial of direct costs and shared costs,
including support costs invofved in undertaking each actwity. Direct costs attributable to a single
activity are all<￿31ed directly to that aclwity. Shared costs whKh contribute lo more than one activity
and support Costs which are not attributable to a s*ngle actNity are apportioned beiween those
activities on a basis consistent wth the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the
basis of time spent. and depreciation tharges akJc2ted oft the mion of the asseys use.

2.5 Govemment grants
Government grants relating to tangl￿e fixed assets are trealed as deferred income and released to
the Statement of financial activities over the expected useful lives of the assets concerned. Other
grants are credited lo the Stslement of financial activities as the related expenditure is incurred.
2.6 Interest receivable
Inte￿$1 on fvnds held on deposrt is in¢luded when ￿CeiV¥bIe and the 8mOu￿1 can be measured
reliably by the charity". this is nomally upon notffjication of the interest paid OT payable by the
institution with whom ihe funds are deposrted.
2.7 Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible fixed assets costing £250 or more are capitalised and recognised when ftjture economic
benefits are pfobable and the cost or value of the asset can be measured reliably.
Tangible fixed assets are initially recognised at cosl. After recognition. under the ¢osl tnodel,
iangible fixed assets are meastjred at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated
impairment losses. Ml costs inujrred to bring a tangible fixed asset inlo its intended working

2.8 Debtors
Trade and other debtors are recogrhised at the setuemenl amounl after any trade discount offered.
Prepayments are valued at the amount prepaid net of any trade discounts tjue.
2.9 Cash at bank and in hand
Cash al bank and in hand includes ¢ash and short-term highly I￿Uld investments with a short
maturity of three months or less from the dale of acquisition or opening of the deposit or similar
account_
2.10 Liabilities and provisions
Liabilities are recognised when there is an obl￿allOn at the Baance sheet dale as a ￿sUIt of a past
event, it is probable th8t a transfer of economic benefit will be required in seitlemenl. and the
amount of the settlement can be estimated reliably.
Liabilities are recognised at the amounl that the charity anticipates tt wll p8y to settle the debt or the
amount it has received as advanced payments for the goods or services it must provide.
Provi5rons are measured al the best esb.mate of the amounts requiied to setue the obligation.
Where the effect of the time value of money is material, the provisK)n is based on the present value
of those amount5, discounted al the prtrtax discount rate that rèflects the risks specific lo the
liability- The unwinding of the discount is recogntsed in the Stalernenl of f1nan¢ial activities as a
finan￿ cost.
2.11 Financial instruments
The charity only has financtal assets and financial liabilsttes of a kind that qualrfy as basic financial
instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value
subsequerfy measured at their settlement valye with the exception of bank loans which are
subsequerfy measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
2.12 Fund accounting
General are unrestricted fvnds which are available frK use at ihe discretion of the Trustees in
furtheonce of the general objectNe5 of charity and which have not been deS￿nated for other
purposes.
Restricted funds are funds wh¥ch are to k used in accordance $pecffj￿ restriciions imposed by
donors or which have been raised by the charrty for particular purposes. The costs of raising and
adtninistering such funds are charged against the specrfic fund. The aim and use of each restricted
fund is sel out in the notes lo the financial statements.
