NPH UK is one of 23 NPH organlsatlons Worldwide and it exists to support th8 NPH mission and run fundraising and volunteer programmes. The charity truslees manage the affairs of the CIO arKI may for that purpose exercise all the powers of the CIO. The charity also has within its slructure an Advwry Board, currenty composed of one member supports the charity wrth his digital communication expertise. Grant Maklng Policy The CIO raises funds and works directly with NPH Intemalional to select projects to fund. Following consultation with NPH Intemational, the CIO wll pay grants to NPH organisations tt) fund projects in Latin America and the Caribbean directly advancing the CIO'S objectives. For safeguarding of funds, bank accounts of these organlsations held at banks in USA may be used. A portion of funds will also go to Fffoiects identtfied in other counlties. mainly in Ihe UK. to be in line with NPH ethos, mission arKI values. 4 Achlevements and perfomiance The trustees held five meetings during 2024 (in February. April. Juty. September and December). Vanessa Bardde continued to serve on the board from Abu Dhabi. but indicated that should suitable replacements be found. she would resign as her contribution5 were limiled by the distance. To increase board capacity. the Irustees agreed to apply again to BoardLead. the programme that helps charities to recNit new Irustees and companies to provide thi5 Opportunity to interested employees. The process began in September 2024 and would culminate in the election of two new board members. Adam Baird and Maria Florencia Garcia, in April 2025. At the same time, Vanessa Barade stepped down after two and a half years of service. Fundralslng evonts continued to fomi an important part in our acltvftles in 2024 and our wincip81 source of income. We organised held three events with the support of a small group of committed volunteers. The trustees are very grateful to all of the guests. vdunteers. raffle and auction sponsors. musicians and venues Ihat Supported these intliabves. In May 2024. we held a fomial dinner, the 'NPH UK Ball. for over 225 guests at The Peninsula hotd. The event raised almosl £92,900 from ticket revenue. the silent auction and donations. Live entertainment was provided by Maria Elena Infantino and her band. and solo sing8r and gullarist Luca London. Proceeds were assigned to NPH Haiii's Sl Damien Pa8diatric Hospital. In September 2024, Luca London perfomed in Covent Garden fr) raise funds for NPH UK. The event was an excellent opportunity to rdise awareness of the charlty among the general public. It raised over £1.000 for St Damien Paediatric Hospital. In December 2024. our 'Chrislmas Party al TeTra by Carfo Cracco, raised almost £25.800 in licket sales. donations and silent auction income. Around 90 guests enjoyed delicious Italian food and hospitality. The menu was created by the celebrity chef WI￿ has supported our partner organisation in Italy for several years and offered to participale. The venue also donated 10/0 of the revenue they made from th8 evenL Entertaintnent was very kindly pTovid8d again by Maria Elena Infantino.

The total income raised was £5.900. The following grants were received: St. James's Place Charitablc FourKlation aw8rded £1.000 for NPH Guatemala's early childhood education and nutrition programme. Souter Charitable Trust awarded £2.￿ for NPH Nicaragua's disability programme. Gilchrist Educational Twst awartsj £1.000 for NPH Peru's education programme. Auslln Bailey Foundation awarded £1.IJXI for NPH Honduras. vocati¢)nal education programme. As per the grant applications. 90% of fijnds received were allocated to restricted income and sent to the projects in NPH programme countries while 10% was allocated to unrestricted income to support with pmject development overheads. In the area of Indlvldual giving. we continued Io 8ngage our child sponsors. providing updates on children's academlc progress. Christrnas cards and facliiating correspondence. Ongoing promotion of the so<alled Sharing Fund to celebrate a special occasion in their sponsor child's life resulted in donations of over £1,SY)O in 2024. Total irKome during the year from regular giving was around £8.000. We maintained our dlgltal comfflunlcatlon, worklng dosety skilled volunteers. We updated stats'stlcs aboul our programmes and impacl on our website. and made useroxperienc8 improvements. W6 also created 8 new page with information on NPH'S Intemational Vdunteer Programme. We continued to communicate with our supporters through e-newsletters via Mail Chimp and through our social media channels. We aim to enhan￿ this area further in 2025 wilh a more focused plan. We were pleased to be able to support and enhance our community fvndralslng in 2024. With our presence on JustGivirvJ. family and friends of one supporter who chose to run the Yorkshire Maralhon in aid of NPH in Haiti raised over £1.440 for NPH Haili's sp8cial needs programme and St Damien Paediatric Hospital. We also received a p￿Centage of the proceeds from the sale of arlworf( at a fair from another supporter who was keen to support the hospital. The Irustees would like to thank all our supporter5 and volunteers for their generosity and loyalty. In addition to monetary contributions. the charity continued to receive gifts in kind in 2024, specifically raffle and auction ilems for our events a value of over £24.000. as well as the priFbono serrfi￿ of our pay- roll accountant and professionals in the fields of flower arranging. graphic design. perfomiing arts and digital communication. Ar{￿nd 20 vdunleers gave us approximately 230 hours of their time and skills throughout 2024. helping with event planning and execution. administrative and translation tasks. and ￿- going o)mmunicalion iniiiatives. Our grant•making in 2024 saw a signitsnt increase from £16,170 in 2023 to £41.760. We were able to send grants of varying siTrs to eigm NPH programme countries in Latin Am￿lca and the Caribbean.

Through our child sponsorship programme. we funded operational costs of residential care and support for children in our famny reintegralion programme, as well as special celebrations and activities for the children through contribuiing to respective countries Sharing Funds,. With the support from SL James's Place Charilable Foundation. we could send a grant to NPH Guatemala's day Ca￿ centre that provides early childhood educalion and nutrition lo pre-school children while enabling their parents lo work. This granl was assigned to food costs to support Ihe children's healthy developmenL The donation from Souter Charitable Trnst enabled us to provide slgnificant support to NPH Nicaragua's 'Good Samaritan, disabilty programme, contributing to salary and medicine costs. This programme provides specialised care for children with disabditie5, indudiT¥J Iherapy. medical assistance. learning support and collaboralion wilh their famlies to help them access education and other services. The support from Gilchrfst Educational Trust enabled us to serKI funds to NPH Peru to facilitate the recruitrnent of a specialist maths teacher to provide tuition to children and young people in their residential care programme. We supplemented the grant unrestricted income so that the teacher could be hired for at least six months. The donalion from Austln Bailey Foundation enabled us to provmle a granl to NPH Honduras. vocational education programme. contributing directty towards the salary costs of the electricity workshop instructor. This programme t6aches practical skrfls and knowledge to young people. re&Aling in a fonnal qualificallon that enhances employabilty. The escalating crlsls in Haiti, subsequent di¢Jital 8pped arKI marathon furKlraising resulted in a contslbution lo NPH Haiti's 8mergency project, spedficalty to provkle food and medlcine for vulnerable children and adults with disabbltties living in local communities and residential care. Our most significant 9rant was for St Damien Paediatric Hospital's emergency care department which provides 24-hour medical assistance lo critically ill patients. Thanks to the success of our fundraising event in May and the street performance in September, we could assign almost £24,667 to slaffing costs. Funds raised from the marathon was also assigned to the hospital's oncology department, the 0￿ chli dhood ￿nCer unit in Haiti. Flnanclal revlew and reserves pollcy During the financial year ended 31 December 2024, the charity had income of £139,443 (2023:£65,136). Of this. £17,381 represented income to restricted funds (2023: £16.776). Expenditure for the year was £144.358 (2023: £87.031 ). This was represented by £17.441 (2023: £15.572) of restricted funds. As at 31 December 2024. NPH UK had cash assets of £53,727, a decrease on the balance of £58.642 which was held at the close of 2023. This is represented by £6.195 (2023: £7.291) of restricted funds. At Ihe beginning of 2024. at the yeaty reserves policy miew. the trustees agreed that 50Yo of the charilvs budgeted annual wnning costs plus management and adminislrdtion costs would continue to be necessary and 5ufficienL This was calculated to be approximately £23.000. At the year-end, unrestricted reserves of £47.532 were held. excluding liabilities of £2,615. The trustees decided this amount would be prudent. given the fluctuating levels of annual income that NPH UK continues to experience.

Financial results were moniiored on a quarterly basis and a year-end forecast enabled the trustee8 lo make prudent decisions about grant-making. The budget for 2025 was presented in December 2024.
