(whole period service) Trustee : Mr. Glyn Britton (whole period service) ## **Structure Governance & Management :** Governing Document : Constitution Adopted 21/02/2017 Description of the Charity’s trusts: Constitution : Charitable Incorporated Organisation Trustee Selection : Appointment / Reappointment at trustees annual meeting, 5 years service, unlimited re appointments Additionally : A special relationship has been built with a company who deal internationally with aircraft parts, who can offer advice and assistance in locating parts for refurbishment and repair to exhibits At a meeting of the trustees on 21/02/2023 both trustees were re-appointed to serve another 5 years in the same positions ## **Objectives & Activities :** Objectives as set out in the charity governing document : To make accessible, and to educate the general public about historic aircraft by the acquisition of aircraft, sections, and artifacts, and to restore and prepare them for display and loaning to appropriate museums in the U.K. who already specialise in the facilitating of our aims. ## **Summary of main activities undertaken for the public benefit relating to these aims :** the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre in Newquay, Cornwall, displays our Jet Provost exhibit, and also the Nimrod exhibit As the museum promotes open cockpit access and because the museum has forged links with many local schools and colleges, which promotes greater interaction & education with the public rather than just a museum. This relationship will be forced to end within the next year, as the local council, who are the owners of the property have given the museum notice to vacate and due to the physical size of many of the exhibits, relocation is not a viable option and the museum will be forced to close down completely and sell / scrap many of the larger historical aircraft. We are currently seeking a new home for these exhibits of ours the Avro Heritage Museum, near Manchester. Houses our Victor cockpit. This exhibit is given a protective status and is located in the building adjacent to the main museum. Accompanied visits to the exhibit are available on request. ## **Main achievements of the charity during the year :** Maintaining an interest in the exhibits and ongoing improvement in the quality of those items, also promotion of the existence of these rare exhibits during the course of ongoing investigations into suitable relocation sites ## **Financial Review** ## **Policy on reserves :** Fundraising is entirely from private, and local company donations. It is the charities policy generally not to seek loans / overdrafts etc and only to spend money already raised and secured, except in special circumstances.
