2024-2025was a successfulyetchallengingyearlor RWOB. The ongoing cost-of-livingcrlsis significantly
affected our operations and incraased demand forour services. In response, we worked tirelgsslyto secure
fundingto sustain ourvitalwork and adapt tothe evolvingneeds of our communlty.
Our membership has grown considerably, with an average of 100 women 8nd 27 preschool chlldren attendlng
our weel<ly drop-ln centre. This surge reflects the depth ofneed and the strongtrust In our organlsatlon. We
antlclpate thls demand will continueto grow, andwe are readyto meet it.
AS a women-onlyspace with a free onsitecrèche. we offera safe, inclusiveenvlronmentwh6re women and
children can access practlc81. traurna-informed supportwithout barriers. In responseto the cost-of-livingcrlsls,
we expanded our offerto Include 8 breakfast club, CltizensAdvlce Bureau $88sions, matarnityworkshops, and a
Family Hub Navigator, ensuringthat essential services remained ac¢e88ibl8.

Our 3poCI8Llst piolect, Mond the Gap Pha8eTwo, contlnued to addressvlolence agalnstwomen and glrls In
Afrlcan Communltleg across the UK. We dellvered one-to-one support, made key referrals to speclall8t s8Nlce8,
and facilitated outraach sessions to highlight the issueswomen face. Monthly Coffee Mornlngs, led by
professionals, offered safe spaces to talk about 8bu8e, violence, end mental wellbeing.
In October, we trained 12 new Communlty Champlon8and dellvered eight leadershlp sesslons. These women
are now equlpped to ralse awareness on FGM. torced marrlage, and domestlc abuse. bulldlng confldence and
creatlng a rlpple effectof empowerm8nt across thelrcommunitles.
Our workwould not have been posslble wlthout the unwaverlngdedlcation of our Incredlble volunteers. In the
face of ongoingchallenges, theygave thelrtime. energy, and care to deliver 8 truly life-changingservlce. We are
deeply gratefulfor thelrcommltmentand compasslon.
We also extend heartfelt thanks to our funders, donors, and supporters. Yourtimely and generous contributions
have helped shape a responslve, flexible service that meets the real and presslngneeds of refugee and asylum-
se8king women across Bristoland beyond.

2024-25: Wewelcomed 169 new members thls year, brlnging ourtotal membershipto 1,022. Durlngthe year, we
supported 527 Individualwomen. Our members speak 36 different flrst languages and com8 from 51 different
countries."

women lof which 169 were new members this yearl.
Arts for Women; Thls Initiative focuses on thetransformative power of artand arttherapyto enhance the
mental health 8nd overall well-being of individuals displaced by conflict, persecution, and poverty, At the drop-
in centre, art serves as a vital outlet foremotion8lexpression, 08pe¢i8lly for those who struggle to conveytheir
feelings through words. Women have been makingcushions, cards and baskets to sell andfundr8is6 forth6
organisation.

money, debt, and energy bllls.
NHS Maternlty Servl¢e8: Ateam of mldwlves regulariyjolned ourweekly drop-ln sesslons. Thelr presence
brought much-needed, expert support to our members, offering guidance, reassurance, and vltal Information on
all 8spect$ of pregnancyand maternity care. Thls servlce has been an Invaluable resourcefor many In our
ommunity.
M8ndthe Gap PhaseThvo: The project focuse8 on eddressing multip18 forms of violenceagainstwomen and
glrls wlthln Afrlc8n communltles In the UK. Ourteam d8llv&red 260 one-to-one emotlonal and practlcal support
sesslons to SO women who are suniivors ofphysicaland emotion81 abuse, resultlng in 19 referr81s to specl81ist
and practical support servlces.
We also conducted Iooutre8ch sessionswith women, organisations, 8genc18S, 8ndforums. brlngingto light the
challenges our member8 fac8 and th8 SUPPOrt they need. In addition, our monthly Coffee Morning8, facllltated
by protesslonal8, provlde a safe space to dSscuss vlolence, abuse, and mentalwell-belng.
Women's Health Hub: As part ofthe He8lthierTogether(Integrated Care System) with the NHS, we host 8
fortnightlywomen's Health Hub 81ongside ourweekly dropin centre in Easton, a f8mlllar, accesslble space for
our members. Thls Inltiative connectswomen with vls5tlng health professlonals and fosters long-term beneflt8,
includingimproved referral pathways and greater8ccess to holistlc C8re. PartlClP8nts report increased
conlidance in navigating health services, better awareness of preventative healthcare, and a stronger abilityto
advocate for thcir nee(Js. The Hub represents a vital steptoward more integrated. community-bssed support
that WILL contlnueto benefltwomen beyond the life ofthe project.
-we celebrated Internationalwomen's Day, Chrlstmas, and Eid festlvals.
-As part of the Refugee Festival in June 2024, we org8nlsed a dance event to celebrate the refugee contrlbutlon
to Bristol. Over 100women and some oftheir praschoolchildren 8ttended the event.
