Doncaster Foodbank operates from a warehouse & office space in the Kirk Sandall district of Doncaster. Food donated by the public and by companies is sorted at the warehouse and prepared for distribution. The warehouse can store up to 20 tonnes of food. The foodbank runs distribution centres on four days each week, twice weekly at St James’ Church in the town centre, once a week at St Paul’s Church in Wheatley and once a week at the Holmescarr Centre in Rossington. The foodbank has secured funding to partner with Doncaster Mind to provide mental health support at each centre. In addition, income maximisation advice and a casework service are provided in partnership with DIAL Barnsley. |

There are four paid members of staff, the Project Manager, an administrator, a warehouse manager and an externally funded community organiser. All other work is undertaken by volunteers under supervision. There are currently around 70 volunteers working within the foodbank. |

Para 1.20 | The charity provides food parcels to families and individuals that are intended to last for at least three days. This support can make a significant difference to clients who might otherwise have to rely on the goodwill of friends or relatives, resort to crime, or simply go hungry. In addition, signposting to other services helps clients access further support from partner agencies. We benefit from the presence of a Doncaster Mind mental health specialist at each session, alongside income maximisation advice and a casework service provided in partnership with DIAL Barnsley. This support has enabled clients to access mental health services and claim benefits to which they are entitled, helping to reduce their need to rely on the food bank. |

In accordance with the engagement letter dated 15 September 2020, and in order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, we have compiled the financial statements of the company from the accounting records and information and explanations you have given to us.
This report is made to the directors in accordance with the terms of our engagement. Our work has been undertaken to prepare for approval by the directors the financial statements that we have been engaged to compile, to report to the directors that we have done so, and to state those matters that we have agreed to state to them in this report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the Company and the Company's directors for our work or for this report.
You have acknowledged on the balance sheet as at year ended 31 October 2025 your duty to ensure that the company has kept proper accounting records and to prepare financial statements that give a true and fair view under the Companies Act 2006. You consider that the company is exempt from the statutory requirement for an audit for the year.
We have not been instructed to carry out an audit of the financial statements. For this reason, we have not verified the accuracy or completeness of the accounting records or information and explanations you have given to us and we do not, therefore, express any opinion on the financial statements.
