Bruno’s Animal Haven
Annual Report
1 November 2024 – 31 October 2025
Chair’s/Trustees’ Report
Bruno’s Animal Haven is committed to saving the lives of animals most at risk. We work closely with various pounds, social services and relevant authorities to help animals who are in urgent need of rescue, rehabilitation and safe placement.
Throughout the year, we have continued our commitment to providing care and support to dogs who may otherwise have had limited options. Our aim is always to place each dog in the most appropriate and secure environment according to their individual needs.
Fundraising and Support
Bruno’s Animal Haven continues to rely heavily on the generosity and commitment of our supporters.
During the year, we have primarily raised funds through our various fundraising activities and our online auctions. We are extremely grateful to everyone who continues to support the charity, whether through regular donations, fundraising activities, auction participation or other contributions.
Our regular and committed supporters play a vital role in enabling us to continue our work. Their ongoing generosity helps us meet the costs associated with veterinary treatment, boarding, food, training and the general care of the dogs in our responsibility.
Fostering and Boarding
The majority of dogs in our care are placed into carefully selected foster homes wherever possible. Foster homes provide a stable and supportive environment in which dogs can begin to settle, recover and prepare for their future.
Dogs coming into our care from pounds will normally initially be placed in boarding kennels while they are assessed. This allows us to understand their individual needs and determine the most suitable placement for them.
Once assessed and considered ready, dogs will generally move into foster homes. Foster carers then continue with any ongoing training and rehabilitation that may be required, helping each dog to develop the skills and confidence needed for their future.
Sanctuary Dogs
Bruno’s Animal Haven also provides lifelong sanctuary to a number of dogs who cannot be safely rehomed to members of the public.
These dogs may have significant behavioural or medical issues that make conventional rehoming unsuitable or unsafe. Where this is the case, the charity takes responsibility for their lifelong care.
Our sanctuary dogs remain with a trustee for the remainder of their lives, ensuring that they receive the stability, care and support they require in a safe and familiar environment.
Looking Ahead
Bruno’s Animal Haven remains committed to its core purpose of helping dogs most at risk and providing them with the best possible chance of a safe and secure future.
We will continue to work alongside pounds, social services, authorities, foster carers, veterinary professionals and our supporters to rescue, rehabilitate and care for dogs in need.
The continued support of our donors, fundraisers, foster carers, volunteers and wider community is essential to allowing Bruno’s Animal Haven to continue this work.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported the charity throughout the year. Every donation, fundraising effort, foster placement and act of kindness helps us to make a difference to the lives of dogs.
