## **Objectives and activities** 

To further or benefit the residents of Canley, Coventry and the neighbourhood, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents. 



To establish or secure the establishment of a community centre and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities promoted by the charity in furtherance of the above objects.

Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

The community centre continued to operate more services for local people during 2023. 

The Canley Food Hub continues to provide a social supermarket feeding over 100 families each week from the local area. 

Youth and Childrens activities have been growing. 

A warm hub was operated at the centre during the winter of 2023 and was well attended.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ("the TrusY'} for the year ended 31 December 2023.
Responsibilities and
basis of report
As the charity's Iruste8s, you are responsible for the preparation Df the
accounts in accordance with the re.quiremerits of the Charities Act 2011
("the Act.).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5}{b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect:
the accounting records were not kept in a¢¢ordance with section 130
of the Charities Act., or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records,. or
the accounts did nol comply with the applicable requirements
concerning the form and content of accounts set oul in the Charities
(Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement
that the accounts give a 'true and fair, view which is not a maller
considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in conne￿10n
with the examination to whiGh attention should be drawn in this report in
order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
