some of the causes of their food povety-
including free debt and welfare benefrts
The benefits of this have Ixen that the
beneficHries have reported an
improvement in their health and wellbeing
and in their abilty to provide themselves
and theirfamilies with regular and healthy
meals.
The Fo(xJ Bank has also benefited the local
Communty by building a strong network of
volunteers {some of whom are fomier
users ofthe Fc(sd Bank). Also. by
devebping partnerships with local
o)mmunty organisa￿n$, $uth as
setx)ndary and primary schcx)Is, churthes
and local bjsinesses. This has resulted in
a ryaising of awareness at(sut the causes of
food poverty and has givert these groups
an opwrtunty to be involved ￿ the aims
and objectives of the tharity.

We are a small successful, efficient
well managed charty. Durrng Covid we
expErEnced a huge increase in our
income Main￿ due to the generosity of I￿r
cal community. Desprte a drop this year,
we ¢￿tinue to have an income that is
higher than pre-covid levels and provKle a
a hwJh level ot service. We buy in focxj
when donati￿$ are not sufficEnt to
replenish stocks. It was the seventh
year we have employed a Food Bank Co
ordinator
We have one employee, our Food Bank
Co-ordinator, {a￿nt￿j in May2024} tho 15
employed on a Six-month conlract.we
the￿fOre ensure that there we have
suffiaent reserves to pay salary, tax, Nl
and PensK)n for the remaining period
when the contract is renewable. The funds
required fr)r this are currently
££18,237.
In May 2023, we appoint￿ a Cover
ordinator on a zero-hours contr8rt.

We need to continue to be able to cover Ihe
Food Bank C(￿rdInat0￿$ salary and
assoctat&J costs every year, as well as
buyirKJ f(XMI. when ne￿Ssary, to maintain
our stock ￿Vels. The increase in the cost of
living, parti￿larty food and heating, has
increased the number of clients. Without
donat￿n$ and grants we could not continue
to run the Fcod Bank.
