Performance

During the period, there were 2 grants awarded.

Chandos and Dents Almshouses £637.00

The aim of the Trust is to provide affordable accommodation to persons of limited means and of good character who live in the borough of Tewkesbury, preference is given to persons living in Winchcombe. The Booth Foundation was approached as being a local charity to provide new outdoor seating for residents to replace their old end of life furniture. A teak bench and 2 teak chairs which will hopefully last many years were duly installed.

Tudor House for gentlefolk of limited means £1000

This is a very small charity in financial terms, although the property it occupies is large and rambling, and expensive to maintain. The charity found itself trying to raise funds to maintain the building for its residents to ensure the building could continue to provide homes for those in need. The trustees agreed that a grant of £1000 should be offered to support the upkeep of the property.

Outlook for 2021

The trustees have made 2 further donations in 2021 amounting to £1135 and these will be detailed in the next review. Further donations are also being considered for 2021.

Financial review

The charity had no assets or known liabilities at the period end.

During 2020 the charity spent £1,637 on 2 grant awards as listed previously. The charity incurred bank charges of £480.70 during the period and £114 on IT support, there were no other expenses. No further income or expenditure was made during 2020.

No funds were or are held as a custodian on behalf of others.

Public benefit statement

The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission in exercising their powers or duties.
