Trustees Annual Report

1st June, 2021 – 31st May, 2022

We have not fund raised during this year and have not used any of our existing funds, preferring to wait until we can make firm plans for our inaugural event.

During this year we were able to set up meetings with the members of the Mosaic Jewish Community in Watford and at long last plans were put in place for our inaugural Concert.

Mosaic is a new concept for the Jewish Community with three strands of Judaism, Reform, Liberal and Masorti Jewish religious movements coming together to build a brand new worship space – a Synagogue in which all three strands will hold their services and community activities. They are very happy to share their inaugural event with JazzPsalms.

Several planning meetings were held from the Spring of 2022 and the division of the expenses for the concert were agreed upon. The date is fixed for November 20[th] , 2022 when the new building will be ready for Mosaic to move into. Arrangements are being made for a choir to join in. New settings of several Psalms are being written by David Gordon, one of our trustees. The main singer will be Jacqui Dankworth, another of our trustees. Members of the thriving local Interfaith group have been invited to attend and it is hoped that around 10-12 different faith groups will be represented. Areas such as ticket sales, publicity, administration, programme printing budgeting have all been allocated, and we are all looking forward

Margaret Scrivener, Trustee, JazzPsalms for Peace.
