FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30TH SEPTEMBER 2024
Most the tharivs activtiies are undertaken by volunteers and the d￿ftty could not operate effectively
without their efforts.
In planning the activities the Trustees have applied the guKlance on public benefft issued by the
Charity Commission.
Structure, Governance and Management
Responsibility for setting policy and for making operating decisions rests with the trustees tho meet
regularly to monitor the activities of the charity. Responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the
harity rests with a senior management team comprising the Elders of the Church along with the
Associate Minister who meet monthly. New trustees are recruited and appointed by the existing
trustees and are appointed by a resolutson passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity
Financial review
During the year income decreased by £32.705. to £255.824. and expenditure decreased by £3.804. to
£177,603. As a result surplus for the year decreased by £28,901, to £78,221 and the chantys net
current assets increased by the same amount. to £361.303.
Reserves policy
The trustees have detefmined that the charity should aim to hold unrestricted cash of no less than
£85.000 (which equates to al)out 6 months, of unrestricted expenditure) so that the charity could
continue to operate should income and l or expenditure vary adversely. At the year end. the charity
held unrestricted Gash of £337.811 and the tharity is o)mplwng with its reserves policy. The holding of
rese￿eS facilitates the pennanent estsblishment of the thurch. In this context. the employment of an
Associate Minister has continued. The purchase of a permanent church building continues to be a top
prioritv.
