1. Events: because of the COVD-19
pandemic the main events of the church
during the year divide into three periods.
A.) October 2020.
Meeting in person on Sundays according to
strict government guidelines. This
necessitated two Sunday morning services.
It was not possible to run the normal
activities for children at this time. Adult
Sunday School took place on Sunday
evenings via streaming and Zoom. The
midweek meeting took place via Zoom.
B) November 2020 to June 2021.
Running a reduced programme remotely
via streaming and Zoom. This included a
Sunday morning service, Sunday evening
prayer and online community groups.
C) July 2021 to September 2021.
Opening up again for a single Sunday
morning service and creche for younger
children, together with a central prayer
meeting. Adult and children’s’ Sunday
School and local community groups to be
reintroduced from October 2021,| |||All meetings are open to all. Despite
necessary closures due to COVID,
numbers have grown over the year.
Publicity is through the church website,
print material and word of mouth. The
Trustees remain acutely aware of the need
to find a larger venue. A possible location
was explored during the year but proved
unsuitable.
2. Employment of a Trainee Minister, on a
two year contract. The future appointment
of an Associate Minister is being actively
investigated.
3. Further fund raising to enable the growth
of the church.
4. Alleviation of hardship within the church
and the City of Leeds, and further afield by
means of a collection at each Sunday
morning service. This has been restricted
because of the inability to meet for large

receipts were £106,692.
This figure included internal giving
amounting to £59,872 plus Gift Aid.
Payments amounted to £102,273 Major
costs included the Minister’s stipend and
rental of accommodation required for the
fulfilling of his duties, together with venue
rental for Sunday activities, although due to
the effects of COVID this latter figure was

purpose leaving £162,067 available as
unrestricted reserves.
We continue to have a specific ongoing
reserves policy, incorporating figures based
on 6 months expenditure, particularly
considering the duration of the rental
