Love Gloucester Annual Report for 2022-23
After a period of inactivity following the Covid pandemic and many of the previous trustees leaving the charity during the covid epidemic, this year has led to a resumption of some activity with Love Gloucester.
Two new trustees joined in February of 2023, Les Jevins and Lisa Jevins who have a lot of experience in the charitable sector, particularly related to community engagement and supporting those in need.
Unfortunately, the existing website has not been accessible due to the trustees leaving and a new website is planned which can be updated and managed. We will also be setting up specific Love Gloucester email addresses to contact key members of the trustees.
The trustees have met and discussed a way forward for the charity with a number of potential projects in the local community, including the opening of a food pantry in association with St Barnabas Church, Gloucester. It is hoped that this will be in operation by the end of 2023 with food being sourced from local supermarkets and other food supply organisations.
The trustees are very pleased that the charity is now in a position to become more active in supporting those living in Gloucester.
