## **Year ended 31 July 2025** 

I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of Turken Foundation UK ('the charity') for the year ended 31 July 2025. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

The trustees are also the directors of the company for the purposes of company law are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements. The trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: 

(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: 

- to keep accounting records in accordance with section 386 of the Companies Act 2006, and 

• to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records, comply with the accounting requirements of section 396 of the Companies Act 2006 and with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities have not been met, or 

(2)to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached."

Impairment of fixed assets
A Teview for indicators of impairment is carried out al each reporting dale, wrth the recoverable
amount being estimated where such indicators exist. Where the carrying value exceeds the
recoverable amount, the asset is impaired accordingly. Prior impairments are also reviewed for
possible reversal at each reporting date
For the purposes of impairment lesling, when il is not possible to esb'mate the recoverable
amount of an individual asset, an estimate is made of the recovemble amount of the cash-
generating unit lo which the asset belongs. The cash-generating unil is the smallest identifiable
group of assets that in¢lLJdes the asset and generates cash inflows that18rgely independent of the
cash inflows from other assets or groups of assets.
For impairment testing of goodwill, the goodwill acquired in a business combination is, from the
acquisition dale, allocated to each of the cash-generaling units that are expected lo benefit from

Financial instruments

Where investments in shares are publicly traded or their fair value can otherwise be measured
reliably. the investment is subsequently measured at fair value with changes in fair value
recognised in income and expenditure. All other such investments are subsequently measured at
