2026 AGM Chairman's Re ort From a responding perspective the year didn't pose any major challenges, and neither did the very mild winter that was once again almost completely snow free. We have attended a consistent number of calls; we are still mainly being used on the most urgent 'Category 1" calls where our early attendan￿ can make a real difference. We have attended 353 jobs, which is almost 13 % up on last year. We have also attended more calls to the East with Steve living just outside Sherithales. Good SAM has also kept us busy keeping all three of us on call 24r7 most weeks. This has resulted in 19 jobs coming through during periods of otherwise being off call. Unfortunately, the trust has now dropped this application due to financial constraints. We also had the use of a fiEe second vehicle for 6 months, which had a large impact on additional hours provided. As well as increasing our visual presence. A recruitment drive recent took place ending in January and although four applicants were successful, two (I believe), have dropped out, one is waiting a course date, and Stuart is in training. This puts us in a great position moving forward and will massively impact the number of hour5 of cover we provide. Our finan￿S have never been in a stronger position, with donations and grants totalling almost £82,000 largely due to the vehicle fund raising campaign. This includes £1,592 of which is a direct result from collections at Community Defibrillator Training, up 43 % up on last year. Spending has dropped £226 from last year to £5,042 this year. Fuel was On￿ again a major cost at £2,011 up 48 % on last year from £1,352, equating to £659. Included in the figures is a £30,000 grant from Sevem Trent Water. Defib courses are still going strong as they become ever present in our communities. This year I've trained upwards of 600 people, over 70+ hours. It was disappointing to be tumed down for the Kings Voluntary Service award, for reasons that still aren't fully understood, although it hasn't in any way impacted on fund raising. Looking to the future the new response vehicle is now ordered, and although significantly delayed, we're assured will be with us at the latest in July. This will mean very negligible rna1ntenan￿ costs for a considerable time, and a huge potential, reduction in fuel costs going down the electric or hybrid route. 202516 b numbers 16,000+ Hours on call.
