2025 AGM Chairman's Re ort Once again, we've had a change in our number with Ben having left to pursue a full-time career in WMAS, and Steve joining in a full capacity. A recruitment drive recent took place ending in January and those applicants are still undergoing the sifting prosS, but we could have up to another two applicants. will start one again in June and potentially three applicants are waiting in the wings to apply. This puts us in a great position moving forward and will massively impact the number of hours of cover we provide. From a responding perspective the year didn't pose any major challenges, and neither did the very mild winter that was once again almost completely snow free. We have attended a consistent number of calls; we are still mainly being used on the most urgent "Category 1" calls where our early attendan can make a real differen. We have attended 312 jobs, which is almost 100 up on last year. We have also attended more calls to the East with Steve living just outside Sherifhales. Good SAM has also kept us busy keeping all three of us on call 24 most weeks. This has resulted in 19 jobs coming through during periods of otherwise being off call and has had a direct impact on one successful resuscitation. Our finanS are still in a strong position going forward, with donations trumping last year by £3083, bringing the total to £5,547, (£1,112 of which is a direct result from collections at Communty Defibrillator Training). Spending has also risen significantly from exactly £2,600 last year to £5,268 this year, a difference of £2,668, largely due to car maintenance. Fuel was on again a major cost at £1,352, up £460 on last year. We have also been awarded a £20,000 lottery grant. Defib courses are still going strong as they become ever present in our communities. This year I've trained upwards of 600 people, over 70+ hours. We have also applied for the Kings Voluntary Service award that we will hear a result from in DeMber, this will be extremely useful in both raising our profile and securing future grant funding. I think continuous challenges will present themselves as we move into 2025, namely response times in general largely created because of the A&E backlog. Looking to the future we've started, work to raise £50,000 to buy and equip a new response vehicle, this will mean very low rna1ntenan costs for a considerable time, and a huge (potential), reduction in fuel costs going down the electric or hybrid route. This is the purpose of the money from The National Lottery. 202415 b numbers 16,000+ Hours on call. (Including God SAM) 312 Jobs attended. 70 hours of community training provided.
