Annual Accounts
The Acting Treasurer is pleased to announce that a small surplus of £1,607 was made over the financial period between October 2022 and September 2023. This is quite a small amount, but given that the reserves stand at a healthy £32,568.02 we should not be overly concerned. However is noted that the Lotus of Peace group has recently folded and as they were our largest source of income from any single hirer this income will be missed, which could be reflected in next year’s accounts.
The main sources of expenditure have been:
-
Energy Bills
-
Cleaning
• Maintenance/Gardening
The gas and electricity costs are particularly harsh, but unfortunately we are tied into a contract with Total Energies. The contract will be due for renewal in February 2025. The cleaners have done an excellent job and and general maintenance has not resulted in any major costs. However, some issues appear to be developing with the storeroom roof which will need attention and could be costly.
A copy of the accounts is attached and shows headline figures of:
Total Income - £11,813.74 Total Expenditure - £10,206.59 Income over expenditure - £1,607.15 in Credit Closing Balance - £32,568.02
