BASIS OF ACCOUNTING
The financial statement5 have been prepared in accordance with Accountbng and Reporting
by Charitie5.' Statement ol Recommended Practice applicable to charities préparlng their
accounts in ateordance with the Financial Reportin8 Standard applicable in the UK and Republic
of Ireland IFRS102 Imarch 20181 and the Charities SORP IFRS1021.
TRUSTEES
No Trustee. nor any person connected with them, received any remuneration r other benefits

6.76 acres of land were given to the Trust conditional on it being used for org3nised g3mes.
particularly cricket.
In 1981. 3 parcel of land was sold for the purpose of building 3 houses. The proceeds of thi5
sale were largely used for the building of the pavilion. The cost of this is shown on the
balance sheet at £289.755.
A strlp of land was sold in 2006 reali5ing £43.943 after deducting the legal costs.
Depreciation is ch3r8ed on the Fixtures and Fittlngs only at 20% p.a. on the reducing
value brought forward,
No depreciation is Charged in the Accounts for the tennis courts. This reflects the fact that
the Tennis Club has a full repairing lease.
All minor maintenan¢e costs and general running expenditure is written off each year
against income,

SINKING FUND5
The Trustees have Set up a Sinking Fund towards the cost of renovations to the pavilion
and amenitles in the futurè.
In addition the Trustees have considered it prudent to set aside each year the cost of the
Investment into the Charishare Investment TTUSt referred to in Note 6 as an additional
Sinking Fund, as apposed to the annual c05t of this investment being Ineluded in
Unrestrfcted Funds.
The Sinking Funds are therefore rnade up as follows

Renovations to the pavilion and amenities
Charishare Investment towards major rebuild costs
The Trustees consider that there is currently sufficlent piovision for the pavilion and
the amenities.
The figure of £36.200 represents the total Investment in the Fund as at the check date.
CHARISHARE COMMON INVESTMENT TRUST
The Trust is obliged to Invest each year a sum of £1.300 into the above Trust which is
managed by Black Rock Fund managers. However, due to the pandemic this
was not done during this financial year.
The total Investment at 31 March 2024 was £36,20012023- E36,2001.
The value of the fund is notified to the Trust every 3 months.

As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the Accounts.
You consider that the audit requirements of Section 43121 of the Charitie5 Act
1993 Ithe Actl doe5 not apply. It is my responsibility to state, on the basis of
procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity
Commissioners under Section 4317llbl of The Act, whether particular matters
have come to my attentlon.
BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS REPORT
My examination was carried out in accordanee with the General Directions given
by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting
records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with
those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual item5 or disclosures in
the accounts and seeking explanation from you as Trustee concerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be
required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit op5nion on the
view given by the accounts.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
In connection with my examination. no matter has come to my attention-.
