## **Charitable Objectives** 

To educate the public in the musical arts and to facilitate the musical aspirations of its members and to further their advancement in the art of playing brass band and popular music in concerts and other activities in the wider community. 

## **Constitution** 

The band operates under a constitution adopted at a General Meeting held on 4[th ] September 2016. 

## **Activities during the Year** 

The Band has seen yet another turbulent year, with challenges that have defined the future of the band. Attendance has dwindled to a handful, resulting in the committee seeking to recommend that the band should close. This was despite a trustee meeting and AGM dated late March 2024 have appointed new members with a drive to resurrect the band. The talks of working with other bands such as Upper Rhondda and Tata have not been successful. 

Christmas 2024 fundraising was the worst in memory. 

The committee decided to address the serious issue of the bandroom roof repairs, which had been planned for 2025 due to concerns of falling income. The water ingress through the front of the building should be monitored after the roof has been repaired. 

## **Income Reserve Policy** 

The Band aims to retain sufficient reserve funds in order to cover any future capital expenditure, to be used for example on our band room, instruments, uniforms, music and other assets to allow it to continue its charitable objectives.
