pandemic most of our activities during
2022-2023 have ben online and we have
collaborated with many global mental
health organisations in order to leverage
our influence and promote the mission of
the charity.
We have actively collaborated with the
World Association of Social Psychiatry

We have been able to promote dignity to
governments, institutions and the
general public because of the
collaborations that the President of the
World Dignity Project has with these
organisations.
We communicate with the general public
through our social media channels
managed by our volunteers and the
Director of Research.
**Public:**
Mobilising the public to ensure dignity in
mental health is a reality:
1. Literacy (promoting knowledge about
mental health).
2. Advocacy on behalf of vulnerable
people and their families and carers.
3. Change the public mind-set towards| |||those with mental health issues.
4. Encourage wider public discussion
about mental health.
5. Provide dignity and hope for people
affected by mental illness.
**Mental Health Professionals**
1. Helping mental health professionals to
tackle self-stigma and promote a dignity
experience for their patients, carers, and
families.
2. Connecting professionals and sharing
experiences.
3. Increasing understanding of the service
user experience.
4. Continuing Professional Development.
**Policy Makers**
Engaging and influencing policy makers to
ensure policies protect and promote dignity
and equality of treatment for those with
mental health issues.

During this period The World Dignity
Project has made a difference to
mental health professionals,
members of the public and policy
makers by participating in the
following educational and awareness
raising activities to better embed
dignity in mental health:

Members of the World Dignity
Project participated in organising
a joint conference with the World
Federation for Mental Health
(WFMH) World Conference
London entitled ‘Mental Health a
Global Priority’ and made
presentations relating to dignity
2.**June 2022**- The Director of
Research and Development
Claire Brooks presented the
results of new research to
develop a scale for measuring
dignity experiences in mental
healthcare globally at the World
Federation for Mental Health
(WFMH) World Conference,
London
3.**June 2022**- The Director of
Research and Development
raised public awareness of
dignity in mental health by
sponsoring the World Dignity
Project Mental Health Champion
awards presented at the World
Federation for Mental Health| (WFMH) World Conference, London 4.
