|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or<br>services identified in the<br>accounts.|Para 1.17 and<br>1.19||As a result of the global Covid 19<br>pandemic most of our activities during<br>2022-2023 have ben online and we have<br>collaborated with many global mental<br>health organisations in order to leverage<br>our influence and promote the mission of<br>the charity.<br>We have actively collaborated with the<br>World Association of Social Psychiatry<br>(WASP)https://waspsocialpsychiatry.org/<br>the World Federation for Mental Health<br>(WFMH)https://wfmh.global/the World<br>Psychiatric Association<br>https://www.wpanet.org/ <br>We have been able to promote dignity to<br>governments, institutions and the<br>general public because of the<br>collaborations that the President of the<br>World Dignity Project has with these<br>organisations.<br>We communicate with the general public<br>through our social media channels<br>managed by our volunteers and the<br>Director of Research.<br>**Public:**<br>Mobilising the public to ensure dignity in<br>mental health is a reality:<br>1. Literacy (promoting knowledge about<br>mental health).<br>2. Advocacy on behalf of vulnerable<br>people and their families and carers.<br>3. Change the public mind-set towards|

Provide dignity and hope for people<br>affected by mental illness.<br>**Mental Health Professionals**<br>1. Helping mental health professionals to<br>tackle self-stigma and promote a dignity<br>experience for their patients, carers, and<br>families.<br>2. Connecting professionals and sharing<br>experiences.<br>3.  Increasing understanding of the service<br>user experience.<br>4. Continuing Professional Development.<br>**Policy Makers**<br>Engaging and influencing policy makers to<br>ensure policies protect and promote dignity<br>and equality of treatment for those with<br>mental health issues.<br>Details of our activities from April 2022<br>to April 2023 are summarised in the<br>‘Achievements and Performance’<br>section of this document below.|

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|**MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS APRIL**<br>**2022 TO APRIL 2023**<br>During this period The World Dignity<br>Project has made a difference to<br>mental health professionals,<br>members of the public and policy<br>makers by participating in the<br>following educational and awareness<br>raising activities to better embed<br>dignity in mental health:<br>1.**28 June 2022 – 1st July 2022**<br>Members of the World Dignity<br>Project participated in organising<br>a joint conference with the World<br>Federation for Mental Health<br>(WFMH) World Conference<br>London entitled ‘Mental Health a<br>Global Priority’ and made<br>presentations relating to dignity<br>2.**June 2022**- The Director of<br>Research and Development<br>Claire Brooks presented the<br>results of new research to<br>develop a scale for measuring<br>dignity experiences in mental<br>healthcare globally at the World<br>Federation for Mental Health<br>(WFMH) World Conference,<br>London<br>3.**June 2022**- The Director of<br>Research and Development<br>raised public awareness of<br>dignity in mental health by<br>sponsoring the World Dignity<br>Project Mental Health Champion<br>awards presented at the World<br>Federation for Mental Health|

The President of the World Dignity Project contributed to the academic discourse through academic activities including the following presentations: **May 2022: Presentation.** Reimagining community mental health provision _._ Mental health in primary care – how does it feel? Forum for Global Challenges ICC Birmingham, UK **June 2022: Plenary session** : Promoting dignity in mental health. ‘Mental Health a Global Priority’ World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) World Conference, London, UK **August 2022: Presentation.** Dignity in the older adult: promoting health and wellbeing is everybody’s business. 22[nd] World Psychiatry Association (WPA) Congress. Bangkok, Thailand **January 2023: Presentation.** Global Mental Health and Primary Care: A New Approach. Joint Congress of the World Association of Social Psychiatry and the Faculty of Rehabilitation and Social Psychiatry Royal College of Psychiatrists, London, UK 5. The President of the World Dignity Project contributed to the public discourse through webinars: **May 2022:** Dignity, Mental Health and Hope. Day of Hope, Reno, Nevada USA The Director of Research and Development raised public awareness of dignity in mental health by maintaining social media accounts.
