To run and maintain an effective village hall for the use of the residents of Rumburgh & St. Michael South Elmham. **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document**
Risk assessments are carried out on all outside events. Insurance is maintained and advice taken from Community Action Suffolk.
The trustees observe guidance given by the Charity Commission.

Section D Achievements and performance
## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
Minimal use was made of the hall during the year, as a result of the Covid19 pandemic.
Pilates classes recommenced briefly in October 2020 but stopped again until May 2021. Those that did use the hall are as follows: Boogie nights, exercise classes, recommenced for two months in September 2020 but stopped again until June 2021.
The bowls club only recommenced in June 2021.
Christmas carols, with mince pies and wine, was held outside in December, together with a twelve days of Christmas trail, for children. Yoga classes, coffee mornings and table tennis did not recommence during the year.
The hall was used as a polling station, for the local elections on 6[th] May 2021.
Lapwing Education classes, providing alternative education for young people of compulsory school age who cannot access mainstream fulltime education, recommenced in June 2020. With a break for the school summer holidays, these then finished in December 2020.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 30 / 06 / 2021.
**Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
## **Independent examiner's statement**

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
