and Models to inspire the youth and other broken lives. The people who slip through the social care system are often overlooked as being potential contributors to society. GSM’s specialty which has developed over the year is not to overlook, but to see the gem as well as potential and allow that to be useful to our economy and society.

GSM’s overseas programmes focus on helping underprivileged people in developing countries who are stacked in poverty and financial hardship and cannot lift themselves out of a cycle of generational poverty, hopelessness and abandonment. We hope to achieve this objective:

  1. We also work in partnership with other Charities or Christian Organisations that help socially and economically disadvantage communities in UK and developing countries such as: Kids Alive and Compassion UK.

GSM’s grant making criteria or policy:

  1. The person must be in UK or any developing country where GSM or Scripture Union operates.

  2. In the United Kingdom (UK) the person or applicant must be a client (underprivileged person) who has been helped by GSM and supported to reform his/her life.

  3. In a developing country, the person must be recommended by the Scripture Union coordinator in that country.

  4. The person must be known by GSM or Scripture Union and has proved to have good character or be trustworthy.

  5. The person must have the proper skill and training for chosen business venture for which he/she wants to pursue.

  6. The person must submit an official application for such educational scholarship, loan or grant to the administrator or secretary. In the developing country, the person must apply to the Scripture Union Camp Coordinator.

  7. The prospective applicant would be invited for an interview by the Chairperson in UK or SU camp coordinator in that (developing) country.

  8. In the case of grant or loan for business venture, the person must submit a well-researched business plan that will provide an adequate cash flow to operate the business and pay off the loan.

  9. The loan or grant must be agreed by the Trustees/Management Committee.

  10. The amount of loan would be based on the organisation’s strong financial resources or availability.

Section D Achievements and performance

Global Support Ministry supported and continues to support several Summary of the main organisations (Compassion, Scripture Union, Amen) and also continued working achievements of the charity during the year with individuals in personal and spiritual development in Tanzania, Kenya, India, Pakistan, Jamaica.

Scripture Union (Ghana Summer Camp) - We continue to financially support Scripture union in Ghana. Scripture union hosts various activities in different communities which includes teaching, pastoral care, medical care and running a very active summer camp for the children.

Romania - GSM has supported Amen in Romania for a number of years. We have continued supporting with pastoral care, prayer support and finances. Pastoral care is ongoing with this family. Tanzania - Pastor Michael Litanda

Pastoral Care Support is ongoing. Mentoring and advising on issues that may occur when needed. India - Pastor Vijay

Monthly financial support to assist with the accommodation of ten (10) children. The donations are used for medical assistance, food, clothing and educational materials. We conduct fortnightly bible studies with pastor Vijay and his family and monthly bible studies with the church congregation all are done via zoom. Ongoing mentoring and coaching and also support with church growth.

Pakistan – Evangelist Kashif

Regular financial support and assistant with personal matters and also ministry; travelling to various villages to provide support and food for the poor. Financial support also given to a family member who needed urgent medical care and medication.

Kenya The Late Bishop Duncan

Financial support for his ministry and Pastors, sadly he passed away and financial support was given to his family for funeral cost and to help during the difficult period. We are currently planning to mentor and coach his son to carry on the legacy.

Uganda - Pastor Denis Magezi

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this family was displaced in different parts of the country. After speaking with Pastor Denis, financial support was provided so that the family can all be together under one roof. For three (3) months we assisted with rent, furniture, food, transportation and other utilities. Financial support was also given to help with medical care. We currently provide pastoral care, mentoring, and coaching. This work is on going

Section D Achievements and performance

Jamaica

New Road School St Elizabeth - GSM provided uniforms, schools bags, shoes and other items for 14 children. Laptops, Desktop computers, printers and other aids to support the school. We also started a breakfast club; monthly funds were sent to support this project. In February 2023 the CEO Doreen McDonald went to Jamaica to carry on charity work. Supplies of Clothes, Food, books, stationary and other items for donated to New Road School and New Road Early Learning Intuition school. Two (2) other schools in the Cambridge Area benefitted from the supplies. Finances were given for water tanks, and toilet systems. This project is still ongoing.

We are upholding our Vision and Mission statement in participating in these countries. We have seen the growth and impact this has and is having in all these countries.
