## **FRIENDS OF ST GREGORY’S CHURCH, WELFORD**

The charity exists for the benefit of St Gregory’s Church, the parish church of Welford with Wickham, near Newbury in West Berkshire. It aims to promote the church building as a venue for community activities and to enhance the comfort of visitors, users and worshippers.
Its main purpose is to raise funds in order to provide modern day conveniences. Its aims and aspirations are to provide toilet and kitchen facilities, facilities for flower arrangers, to replace an outdated heating system, to improve the lighting and to install a sound system.
The Covid pandemic has still affected the ability to arrange a major fund-raising event during 2021. Considerable expenditure is anticipated and a further building of funds is required. It is hoped that further fundraising will take place over the next 2-3 years
The current trustees are James Puxley, Lynn Woodhead and a third person, pending making the appointment.
