Groups of approximately 12 Young People aged 13-21 meet weekly during term time with two adult leaders. They undertake a structured and challenging programme of personal development and fundraising. Many are motivated by the opportunity to fund raise and travel abroad as a group of volunteers for 10 days eg to Western Kenya helping orphans in the Nasio Trust schools and family homes who are even less fortunate than themselves.On their return the programme may continue with support for education, employment and ambassadorial work for YoCO. The weekly programme includes: • Education: eg staying safe online, the risks of alcohol and drugs, how |

Para 1.38 | Group sessions are run and residential trips led by volunteers. Total volunteer hours were 1752, down on 2022 as, due to timing, there were no overseas trips in 2023. |

Para 1.20 | Achievements included enrolling 46 young people and 14 group leaders. 35 external speaker sessions 9 young people qualified on the Oxfordshire Young Leaders Course and 3 registered on Level 2 Awards in Youth Work Principles. 22 young people went on a 2 night camping weekend, 20 summited Snowdon, 27 attended a theatre trip and 27 worked at TruckFest. Due to timing issues the 2023 groups trips to Kenya all took place in 2024. |
