aged 13-21 meet weekly during term time
with two adult leaders. They undertake a
structured and challenging programme of
personal development and fundraising.
Many are motivated by the opportunity to
fund raise and travel abroad as a group of
volunteers for 10 days eg to Western
Kenya helping orphans in the Nasio Trust
schools and family homes who are even
less fortunate than themselves.On their
return the programme may continue with
support for education, employment and
ambassadorial work for YoCO.
The weekly programme includes:

In reviewing the changing needs of the
young people joining YoCO in October
Trustees appointed a CEO with the brief to

sessions were completed with 15 young
people receiving this additional support
during Covid restrictions.
22 young people went on a 2 night
camping weekend and 31 young people
spent 10 days in Kenya (plus 4 volunteer
young leaders and 8 volunteer leaders)
The teamwork created culminating in the
trip to Kenya hugely increased the young
people’s confidence and self-esteem giving
