SMILES TO TANZANIA- REGISTERED CHARITY No 1171029 TRUSTEES REPORT FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDING THE 31" October 2024 In this financial year we achieved an income of £4007.51 compared to the previous yearfs amount of £2346.50. The main source of income was from donations and on-line sales. The expenditure was made up entirely of grants to our NGO partner, the Lake Victoria Children's organization. In all, we provided the amount of £2000.00 of which £1500.00 was for school uniforms and other educational items which all children need to be able to attend school. Over the years, without our help, many thousands of children would not have received an education. and we are proud to see them progressing to Secondary School. The other £500.(X) was for our Medical Fund, which is used when parents/caregivers cannot afford the cost of their children's medical care. With the lack of running water in the homes, many children in the villages suffer from stomach problems due to the lack of clean drinking water. Malaria. anaemia and sickle cell conditions are also very common. All of the money that we raise goes to support vulnerable and disadvantaged children on the Island of Ukerewe and satellite islands around it. We would like to thank the many organisations and individuals who have helped our charitv enormously, for their on-going support. We will carry on fundraising for these communities to make a difference to those we help, for as long as we can do.
