## **LISKEARD & DISTRICT AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION CHARITY NUMBER 1170999 Trustees Report for the Year Ending 30th September 2021** 

The financial year to the 30[th] September 2021 was again impacted significantly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Like many agricultural associations we had to cancel our show for a second year in a row which has resulted in a deficit to the accounts of just under £1,000. The level of deficit was mitigated by some Government funding to support businesses affected by the pandemic. 

Some traders who had paid for their stands in 2020 agreed again to carry that forward for the 2022 show. Similarly, some suppliers have also agreed to carry forward deposits that the association has paid for showground equipment. 

Total income was on £8,670 compared to £13,919 the previous year. Expenditure was £9,635 compared to £28,939 in 2020. 

As mentioned above this has resulted in a deficit of £965 and is the second annual deficit in row, although a much better outcome that the previous year. 

However, good financial management in previous years sees the association with reserves of just under £100,000 at 30[th] September 2021 which remains a healthy balance. 

At the time of submitting this Trustees report it is the intention that the 2022 show will take place on 9[th] July and that, after not having taken place for the last two years, people will be keen to attend and make the show a great event in the local calendar again.
