Annual Trustee Report

Year Ending February 2025

I am pleased to present the Annual Trustee Report for the year ending February 2025.

This year has been a positive and productive one for the Village Hall, made possible by the continued commitment and hard work of our trustees. I would like to record my sincere thanks to all trustees for their time, dedication and support throughout the year. Despite having a limited trustee base, the trustees have worked collaboratively and effectively to ensure the smooth running of the hall and the delivery of our charitable objectives.

Over the course of the year, we were pleased to increase the number and variety of community events held at the hall. These included quiz nights, bingo evenings and pub nights, all of which were well received and helped to strengthen community engagement while also contributing to the hall’s financial sustainability. In addition, the trustees successfully organised and delivered the annual Christmas bingo and light switch on event, which remains a valued highlight for the village and continues to attract positive local support.

Alongside these activities, the we’ve completed a series of essential maintenance tasks to ensure that the hall remains safe, welcoming and fit for purpose. Managing these responsibilities alongside event planning has required considerable effort, particularly given the small number of trustees, and their commitment in achieving this should be acknowledged.

The trustees remain mindful of the importance of maintaining and developing the hall as a community asset, and we continue to explore opportunities to increase usage, broaden participation and ensure the long-term sustainability of the charity.

On behalf of the trustees, I would like to thank everyone who has supported the Village Hall during the year, whether through volunteering, attending events or offering practical assistance.

We look forward to building on this year’s achievements in the year ahead.
