Undèr thi5 Mou, the Charity recelve5 an annual grant of £25.000. The Mou was renewed on 14 September 2021. In the first half of 2019, the Charlty had a Mou wlth The Foundatlon for the Promotlon and Development of Hockey Iyhe Foundation"), a foundation constituted in accordance wlth Artlcle 80 of the Swls5 Civil Code whlch was founded by the Internat￿n31 Hockey Federatlon IFIHI. The Mou formallsed the collaboratlon between The Hockey Museum, the Foundatlon and the FIH, and provlded for the Foundatlon to make an annual 8rant to the Charlty and to nomlnate a trustee. The Foundatlon has not renewed Its MOU. and was nol In a posltlon to contlnue its financlal SUp￿rt In 2020. The trustee who had been nomlnated by the Foundatlon under the terrn5 of the Mou, Mr joy￿, ￿ntInUeS to serve as a truste* and the Charlty and Mrjoyce contlnue to seek to work wlth FIH to preserye hockevs Internatlonal herlta8e. 7 Achl•vements •nd •ctlvltles The chaT￿Y has malntalned Its full AccrÈdltallon as a museum, which was awarded by Arts Councll England In 2018, In January 2019, the Chartty wès awarded a Reslllence Herltage grant of up to £81,5LK) by the Natlonal Herltège Lottery Fund. Th15 grant enabled the Charlty to obtaln profe￿lOnal external advice in order to lay the foundatlons for the next Stage In Its development, as a result of which the Charity approved a new Strateglc Actlon Plan ISAPI on 11 December 2019. The W sets out prIor￿leS forthe Charlty from 2020 to 2024. The Covld 19 pandemlc led to the closure of the museum to vlsitors for much of 2020. and restrkted the attendance of staff and volunteers working in the museum. The cancellatlon of the Tokyo 0￿MpicS and of other hockey events durlng the year also restrlcted scheduled actlvhles outslde the museum. However, the staff and volunteers contlnued to be actlve, workSng remotety when necessary, and good proBres$ was madt in those areas of the SAP whlch It was posslble to address. In ad(iltlon to the annual grant from England Hockey referred to in Sertlon 6 above, durlng the year the Charity was awarded 3 8rants totallin8 £57,700, detalls of whlch a￿ set out In the Flnanclal Revlew in Section 9 below. The Charity was also awarded a place on the Dlgital Heritage Lab lThe Lab), whkh Ls a National Lottery Heritage Fund project run by the Arts Marketlng A55oclation. The Lab offers expert and bespoke 5UPPOrt to trustees, staff and volunteers which wlll help the Charlty to develop the dlgStal 5kllls and strategy which it needs to dellvey its SAP. The Lab commenced In 2020 and was completed In 2021. Trnstees are Bratthl to those bodle5 whlch have awarded grants and acknowledge the si8nlftcant beneflclal impart on the Charity of each of these awards.

The balance of thls grant contrlbuted to core spendln& whlch enabled the Charlty to progress Its SAP (lurlng the year. Th15 grant was accounted for as a restrlcted fund, whlch was tranSfer￿d to unrestrkted funds when the Rrant had been fully spent. A grant of £15,000 was awarded by the Arts Councll to flnance a feaslblllty study* carrled out bv external consU￿ants, for the Charity to create a moblle exhlbttlon. The first In5talment of thSs Brant, £13,$00, was recefved durln8 the year and the consult8nts $tarted work in 2020, whlch was concluded In 2021. Donatlons of £33,962 wefe recelved durlng the year whlch, together w￿h the grants descrlbed above, Increased the cash balance held at the year end from £46,993 to £107,590.
