(No space for any new graves 2020 onwards) The intention of the ProJeGt Group (and now of the Tru$l) 1$ that burials 11 ￿ able to continue for those from the wder ecclesiastical parish of Chipperfield wsh to te burièd in the village of Chippeffield now that the churthyard is full. The Diocese of St. Alban8 has 8 policy of not extending rts churchyards, and so the Proje¢t Group found suitable land. obtained planning pemiission and established thi$ new burial grourKI. The Trust became a charity on 4th January 2017- with a Charitable Incorporated Organisation set LIP to te thè holder of the land fomiing the burial ground. The TnJ5t has never employed staff. In the earty years Trustees made donations to provide starter funds in the bank a¢￿unt, and then continued local fvnd raising over 6 years until income from bunals became availabte. This year a fouTrJer member died in January and his wife a days later- at their son's request the Trust allocated a grave space, bLrt with tsvo caskets with their oshes placed in the eentre to allow space for a headstone recording their details IBriselden$l. Thi5 total in line the project's expectation of 3 to S burials each year, and a similar number of ashes. The 8urial Ground continues lo look well maintainod. The Trust also continues to maintain and resurface an extemal footpath along Iwo SKles of the Burial Gfo¥Jnd., this path gives lo several other paths across Chipperfiekl Common and is used many limes each day by walkers. The Tru8te8s are awafe of the guidance on Public Benefrt and no trustees have teen paid for their work or contributions, or claimed any expenses other than reimbursement for material$.
