The Chipperfield Project Group was forned by volunteers in 2011 when it became clear there were a limrted number of spaces left for burials in St. Paul's Churchyard in Chipperfield. (No space for any new graves 2020 onwards) The intention of the Proj'ect Group (and now of the Trust) is that burials will be able to continue for those from the wider ecdesiastical parish of Chipperfield who wi8h to be buried in the village of chipperr￿k1 now that the churchyard is fvll. The Diocese of St. Albans has a policy of not extendirrfd it8 churchyard8, and 80 it was dear that the Project Group woukl have to fiThY 8Uitable land, obtain planning permission and establish a ￿rial ground.
