TEP is managed by its Board of Trustees and has no employed staff. 

## **3)    Objectives and Activities** 

The objects of the Talk Education Partnership (TEP) are: 



_“For the benefit of the public, the advancement of education in East Africa by providing an international network of communication for sharing effective pedagogy and providing and assisting in the provision of educational resources and infrastructure.”_ 

TEP is supporting a number of locally-led initiatives working to enhance standards of primary education in Tororo district, Uganda. These include: 

- Supporting the development of free Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training for primary educators with the aim of improving practice in the classroom and strengthening local networks for sharing effective pedagogies. 

- Supporting the development of key school facilities. 

- From time to time supporting co-curricular activities in collaboration with schools and communities. 

Summary of main activities for the 2020 –2021 financial year: 

- Preparing for the next phase of the Rural Schools Water Project (RSWP) with our local partners, Talk Education Uganda (TEU), to support schools in accessing safe on-site drinking water.

## **4)    Achievements and Performance** 

The entire 2020/2021 financial year was spent preparing for the next phase of the Rural Schools Water Project (RSWP) with our local partners, Talk Education Uganda (TEU). Following disappointing setbacks in November/December 2019 (see _TEP Trustees’ Annual Report 2019/2020_ ), the aim of this next phase was to reinstate and ensure the long-term durability of the three 2018-sponsored water systems disassembled in late 2019. A new TEP/TEU partnership agreement was prepared, including sponsorship for three concrete base-mounted water systems, with implementation planned for Q3 2021.
