In working towards the objectives, the Trustees have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and have worked towards making Earlesfield Community Church as accessible and inclusive as possible to all the community. Church Activities Church services have moved out of the football club and into the Youth Centre on our estate. This has proved to be more accessible to our community and our Sunday gatherings have been very well accepted and appreciated with steady growth over the year. A monthly after church picnic in the summer months and indoor meal during the winter have been very popular. Tuesday evening Bible studies vary in attendance but are a valuable opportunity for people to ask questions and interact further with the teaching received on Sunday. Locals enjoyed a summer community BBQ and fun night with lots of games stalls and a bouncy castle. Over the October half term we organised three days of kids clubs culminating in a very well attended curry night for all the community. Christmas activities were very popular again this year with outstanding attendances. Our community were very grateful and appreciated the effort we put into all these activities. Hope Community Café is a hive of activity and is widely accepted as a community hub on our estate. The café is loved by our community and is as busy as we can cope with! We have taken on another apprentice and continue to accommodate several placement students from various learning providers across Grantham. Several groups and organisations from the wider area use the café as a place to meet, chat and enjoy a good coffee. |

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The church has met every Sunday.
Weekly Bible studies have also met every week.
School collective worship has continued in both the primary and secondary schools.
Christmas and Easter celebrations were well attended, representing a wide spectrum of our estate, from toddlers to senior citizens.
All these activities have given many opportunities for sharing the good news and providing bible teaching on a variety of subjects and scripture passages.
In addition the church has:

Supported overseas missions.

Distributed surplus food received from a local shop.

Facilitated a very popular ‘Tots and Toys’ group
-
Worked with our local youth and provided groups for these to meet in a safe environment.

Started a fortnightly ladies breakfast and Bible study group.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 01 / 2023 .
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”) .
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention ~~(other than that disclosed below *)~~ in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
