The trustees have conducted public fundraisings in expanding the fiscal capacity of ICOARM. We held an art fundraiser, a charity clothing sale in Toronto, a charitable fashion show in London, as well as using Gofundme platform online to raise money for our planned transportation project between May – October 2017. Led by trustees in observation of the statutory laws and regulations of the European Union and Greece. We set up a transportation programme in Elefsina camp, Athens, Greece. ## Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

The charity was dormant during the period of 17/12/2020 to 16/12/2021. Between May – October 2017, led by trustees in observation of the statutory laws and regulations of the European Union and Greece. We set up a transportation programme in Elefsina camp, Athens, Greece. The programme provided crucial transportation to the refugee community, aimed at facilitating social integration and language workshops. The decision that led the trustees to setting up this project is by evaluation of the refugees’ need on the ground, as Elefsina camp is located on the outskirt of Athens, with no direct access to public transportation to engage with a wider Greek community at large.

The transportation programme was able to improve the overall quality of life of the refugee communities, empowered refugee members by enabling them to attend language classes and conduct leisure activities in the city centre of Athens. In general, ICOARM’s initiative increased social interaction and fostered inter-community understanding between the refugees and the local Greek population.
