The decision that<br>led the trustees to setting up this<br>project is by evaluation of the<br>refugees’ need on the ground, as<br>Elefsina camp is located on the outskirt<br>of Athens, with no direct access to<br>public transportation to engage with a<br>wider Greek community at large.<br>The transportation programme was<br>able to improve the overall quality of<br>life of the refugee communities,<br>empowered refugee members by<br>enabling them to attend language<br>classes and conduct leisure activities in<br>the city centre of Athens.
