			We olfer free trak5ng and support to churches and Chrtsganbased
			organisa5ons running orwishing lo run the Recovery Course throughout
			the UK and beyond.
			The Recovery Course team ae actively irwolved kt rurs5ng Reaxrery
			Courses, as weN as supporgng new cotsees with ha&ng, leading and speaking. The team eke works alongside anumber ofother eddicgon- focused~ Our trustees chen speak tothe meSa on issues
			swnxmdhg atkScSon, and our CEOspeaks mgularly lo malnsbeam
			mtxSa speclficaNy on k»ues ofgamblktg addtcgon, and has suPPorted
			gambkng indusby.

		England and Wales sothere isa huge amount ofaotenSal In this
		area. The Ilrst course was due to start at HMP Pentonvllle, atthe
		prison's Invitation, in early 2023, but this was then postponed until
		the Autumn of2023,at HMP Pentonville's request, due to shortage
		afstalf atthe prison. They have requested that The Recovery
		Course delivers a madISed programme that will help those who are
		about ta be rekrased from relapsing and thereby offending again.
		Third, 7he Recovery Course has been expanding in other
		countries. In Soulh Afrba itruns in churches, rehabs and
		townships and phns are being expbred to run it in secondary
		schods. Tothis end a new Manual, especialy focused on those
		aged 12-18,isto be developed in 2023.
		The course continues to run in Australia and there are plans in the
		USA to run the oaurse in a number ofUS prisons. We have been
		approached by two prisons and, as whh the UK, itwll have teems provided by Alpha ln Pnsans USA, but trained by lhe Recovery
		Course. Alpha in Pnfsans has access ta the majority ofthe 151,000 prisoners in 122Federal institutions. Asafthe end of2022
		progress in this area has been slow due lolack afresources at The
		Recovery Course combined with the Increased interest from
		churches in the UK that requke training and have priority.
		Tothis end, the Trustees are aware ofthe importance ofliaising
		with a ChrkNan Fundraiser, employed fora limited period, in 2023.
		Todate, The Recovery Course remains avolunteer orgsnisatbn	so
		as to keep ils operating cosh toa mtnknum.
Srtef statement ofthe charity's policy on reserves		In summary, the charNy received Gi,812(2021f41,378)in unrestricted income and spent f11,984(2021f27,899). The balance ofunrestrtded funds at31"December 2022 was R18,058
		(2021821410).
		In order tocontinue and expand the work afthe charity, the
		Trustees will seek further gllts and donatbns through the services
		afaprofsssbnal fund~sar. In light ofthe monthly consultancy
		fees ofthe Head ofthe Operetbnal Team the Trustees have
		identNed four months operalng casts, R4,600as the level of
		reserves which they consider will need lo be maintained.
