Achievements and performance
2024 was a year in which t￿ future of the centre felt P￿canOUS as
significant remedial work was required on the building ￿of and other
statutory checks and work on the building were due.
Summary ofthe maln
achievements of the Gharity
during the year
The main space for community use was rendered out of use due to
significant roof damage, limiting the rental income and value to the
communily.
A grant of £25,000 was secured towards the mending of the roof and
possible ways to raise other funds were high on the agenda.
None the less, remedial electrical worf( was completed arKI a successful
Christmas tree lighting event was put on for the community through a
grant from the I(￿al council.
At the end of the year work was on-going to find the be8t way to rectify
the roof and enable the charity to fully re-open the space for the
CLJmmunity.
Although use of the building was somewhat restrided certain groups
were able to meet fulfilling Ihe intentions of the charity. The tru8tees were
resolved to explore fundraising locally to continue the aim to repair the
roof.
