THE OLD TALBOT HOUSE FOUNDATION
TRUSTEES’ ANNUAL REPORT
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2022
REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES
The charity was established through a Deed in December 2016, although there was no formal activity until September 2017.
The Trustees present their report, together with the financial statements, for the period to 31 March 2022.
Principal activities
The charity has been established to support the Talbot House Association, in Poperinghe, Belgium, drawing on a capital transferred from the Toc H charity (which, itself, had historic links with Talbot House).
During this period, the turnover of the charity was £10.3k (2021: £19.1k), being the interest accrued on capital transferred in September 2017 and donations received on behalf of the Talbot House Association in Poperinghe. There was minor expenditure only during this period, other than the completion of the £5k investment to establish the website.
Directors
The Trustees in office during the year were:
Reverend Paul Wright (Chair)
Mr Howard Benge
Mrs Louisa Evans
Mr Ian Hussein
Mr Colin Kerr
Mr Jan Louagie
Mr William De Vloo
Mr Hussein is Chair of the Talbot House Association (THA), in Belgium. Mr Louagie, Mr De Vloo and the Reverend Wright are also directors of THA.
Trustees’ responsibilities for the financial statements
Charity Law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial period, which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company. In preparing those financial statements, the Trustees are required to:
Page 1
