## **Accounting Policies**
## **1 Basis of Preparation**
The financial statements have been prepared under historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard.
## **2 Fund Accounting**
General funds are available for use at the discretion of the directors in furtherance of the general objectives of the charity and have not been designed for other purposes. Donations, legacies, and interest on deposits are accounted for in the year in which they are received.
## **3 Resources Expended**
Resources expended are accounted for on an accrual basis and have been classified under headings that aggregate all costs related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings, they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
## **4 Depreciation**
Depreciation has been computed to write off the cost of tangible fixed assets over their expected useful lives using the following rates: - Fixture, Fittings & Equipment - 15%
## **5 Capital Costs**
Including costs related to buying new assets and costs that add value to an existing asset that will last for more than one tax year.
