This has been a very difficult year for the charity with the Trustees dogged by illness including COVID.
We have continued to answer question posed to the Charity web site from a number of patients and to help them find the best treatment for their acne or rosacea. The training program, in collaboration with Skinmed Ltd for the treatment of acne scarring has been reasonably successful but we are aiming to get much wider advertising for this.
We recruited a candidate to take on the role of Charity secretary and liaison person – a woman with wide experience in dermatology. Unfortunately, just before starting the position she developed a serious cardiac problem and had to undergo open heart surgery, and developed a stroke during surgery. She will thus not take up the position. We continue to advertise for assistance
Our plans for the coming year are to employ a person to facilitate the web site and particular to develop treatment updates and to answer blogs. We hope to encourage more interest in the Charity by developing contact with the media.
