I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 30/06/2021.
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
-
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

DURING THE PERIOD, THE CHARITY DISTRIBUTED FOOD AID TO LEBANON REFUGEES AND POOR PEOPLE IN INDIA. IN ADDITION, THE TRUSTEES ALSO SUPPORTED WIDOWS WITH GRANTS FOR BASIC NECESSITIES IN INDIA. THIS BENEFITTED OVER 250 PEOPLE DURING THE PERIOD.
THE TRUSTEES HAVE HAD DUE REGARD TO THE PUBLIC BENEFIT GUIDANCE OF THE CHARITY COMMISSION AND ARE SATISFIED THAT THEY ARE RELIEVING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP FOR THOSE IN NEED.

| DURING THE PERIOD, THE CHARTY SECURED INCOME OF £211,855 WHICH COMPRISED OF RESTRICTED DONATIONS (£194,290) BY A TRUSTEE TO PURCHASE PROPERTY TO BE HELD BY THE CHARITY TO GENERATE INCOME FOR CHARITY PROJECTS, OTHER DONATIONS OF £6,128 AND RENTAL INCOME OF £11,437. THE EXPENDITURE DURING THE YEAR WAS £20,723 OF WHICH GRANTS TOTALLED £18,480. IN ADDITION, THE TRUSTEES SECURED AN LONG-TERM INTEREST-FREE LOAN FROM A TRUSTEE TO PURCHASE ANOTHER PROPERTY FOR INVESTMENT IN ORDER TO GENERATE RENTAL INCOME FOR CHARITY PROJECTS. THIS LOAN HAS VERY GENEROUS TERMS AND THE REPAYMENTS ARE ALSO AFFORDABLE FOR THE CHARITY, WHICH WILL BE PARTLY OFFSET FROM RENTAL INCOME GENERATED FROM THE INVESTMENTS. AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, THE CHARITY HAD RESTRICTED RESERVES OF £39,111 AND NO UNRESTRICTED RESERVES. THIS WAS NET OF THE LOAN TAKEN BY THE CHARITY AND 2 PROPERTIES HELD. THE TRUSTEES HAVE A POLICY NOT TO RETAIN ANY FUNDS AS RESERVES, BUT ALL SURPLUSES WILL BE USED FOR FUTURE CHARITABLE EXPENDITURE, ACQUIRING PROPERTY INVESTMENTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS. |
