Objects and Activities
The objectives of the CIO are to promote and run a village hall for the benefit of the people of Pilsley, regardless of sex, disability, colour , race, faith or political opinions. We aim to provide facilities for leisure and recreation for all individuals as listed above.These include sports, meetings, parties and concerts. We are constantly upgrading the premises. This year's focus was to replace the entrance doors which was achieved with help of a grant from the Parish Council. We are still hoping to build a small extension for storage and modernise the kitchen. Finances continue to be in good health. The local leisure centre has been closed for renovation and upgrading and we are hiring out to customers who have had to find alternative premises. This should continue until the summer of 2025. The savings account holds 50,416.00 but we are mindful of the costs of building an extension.
